They say it can kill the loneliness. Someone could have a lot of friends and family, but deep down inside still feel alone. Cause, since they do not understand, did not hear or feel different from others. The more one thinks of happiness, a sense of loneliness is even more whack. Until finally no longer able to face alone, and eventually die.

However, you need to distinguish the meaning of loneliness and solitude. By Emily White in his book, Lonely, lonely makes someone feel bad, sad, and drained of energy. Despite feeling lonely, yet someone may need time to move yourself. Desired solitude while it makes a person feel peaceful, creative, and strengthens.

When you feel lonely being away from family, to undergo long distance relationship with a partner, being a single parent, or indeed lost friends because of marriage or work in another city, there are several ways you can do to cope with loneliness.


1. Keep myself busy. One of the easiest ways to reduce the loneliness is to keep myself busy. Caring for another person, either by raising your kids, keep animals, or teaching, will keep you busy so that it can alleviate loneliness. You can also offer themselves as volunteers in the neighborhood of places of worship, a special school, halfway house, foundations, and others. If you love to write, why not try to create a blog?

2. Involved with the community. Create a goal, because it has a purpose and a feeling that you are involved in a particular community will not make your own. Find out the activities that will involve you into the community. Read newspapers and magazines as often as possible, to search for music concerts, cultural exhibitions, and seminars of interest to attend. There are many ways to get involved with a specific community, which lets you get new friends.

3. Work harder so easy to fall asleep. One of the most common indicators of loneliness is a disturbance in sleep. You need more time to sleep, woke repeatedly, and feeling sleepy during the day. Lack of sleep, with any cause, can decrease mood, making it easier to get sick, and draining. Thus, this issue needs to be addressed immediately.

4. Know what's missing in your life. White's experience, make a lot of plans with friends did not reduce the sense of loneliness. "What I want is a quiet presence of someone else,". Longed to have someone move in with her home. More you understand what you do not have, the greater the solutions that you can find.

5. Make a commitment to interact with others. Negative emotions such as loneliness, jealousy, and guilt, play an important role in getting a happy life. These emotions is an important sign that something should be changed. Pain of loneliness should urge you to immediately connect with other people. Unfortunately, loneliness itself can make us feel negative, critical, and judgmental. If you realize that loneliness that affects you that way, take steps to fix it.
