What the first thing you think about Hawaii? White foamy sea lapping on the golden sand beach surrounded by coconut trees swaying in the wind? You are mistaken. The main attractions of Hawaii's beautiful beaches, an island paradise that is suitable for basking in the sun or surf the waves are incredible. However, you can still enjoy Hawaii without going to the beach.

Mauna Kea



The peak of this active volcano is 4205 m (13 796 ft) above sea level, the highest mountain in the state of Hawaii. With a clear point of view, it is not surprising that this is the summit of the mountain snow that decorated the largest collection of astronomical telescopes in the world.

Destinations offers a view of astronomy and astronomy program night to the public. Experienced mountaineers can even walk 12 miles to the top of the other world through the landscape of cinder cone volcanic and ancient archaeological sites.

Hawaii Volcanoes National Park

If you prefer to see an active volcano, Kilauea there is a unique National Park is located in the southeast.  Kilauea volcano in the world's most active, erupting continuously since 1983.

Outside the park, depending on when you come, you can even see the lava flowing into the sea (which is slowly but surely making a bigger Big Island, from year to year). Here, there is also a steaming craters, tropical rainforests, and the former path of lava flows.

Maui and the Haleakala National Park




Volcanic soils and sloping meadows of Mount Haleakala has been maintained for agricultural land and livestock Maui over the last two centuries. A path through the meadows of the Kula will take you past dairy farms, vineyards, dairy goats, and a large lavender farm (with a cafe and gift shop offers lavender).

If you can get up early, try to walk to catch the beautiful sunrise view from the top. You can also rent a van to bring you a walk and bike to the top.

Lahaina

This colorful town was once the whaling capital of the Pacific, where the ship will be docked for supplies, sailors, and leave the beach. This place has now been replaced by Maui's best restaurants, art galleries, a bar with Irish music, of course, souvenir shops. Meanwhile, cruise past Lahaina, you'll be able to watch whales in the harbor.

Diamond Head

You can walk to the summit in about an hour or less which provide amazing views of Waikiki.
